Blending Shapes & Colours – It’s day 17 and i have just realised to use anymore of the tutorials I will have to pay for them therefore I am going to continue with the list that has been given of things which are important to learn from various other sources! Vector tuts has a great tutorial.

This is a simple pear shape that I have created using the crayon brush. You simply draw your shape first using the pen tool and then choose the brush afterwards.

The past weeks training lessons for illustrator have gone really well! I am pleased I now how to use the basic tools properly and know exactly what I am doing. Having already learnt how to use Photoshop this was a great help! This tutorial however is great and I think anyone will be able to follow it even if they havent touched on the program before.

Training with the pen tool. Save to your desktop and place it in illustrator by going to File>Place. Select the image and make sure Template is ticked. The image will now be faded and placed as a template.

Selection tools, basic but important! When looking at the program previously this is something that confused me. It just shows how important it is to read tutorials like this as you can learn so much.

In this lesson I looked at how to create a new document, the workspace and the tools which appear in the left hand side toolbox. I also learnt about the floating palette which appears on the right side of the screen. This was then followed by how to save work.
